Terms of use
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Car Check UK website. By using the site you agree to them. The Car Check iPhone app and purchases in it are covered by the app terms and Apple's terms.
The free check
The free check shows vehicle information from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service and the DVSA MOT History API. We present it as provided, and we add our own analysis, such as mileage insights and an ULEZ estimate. Official records can contain errors or be out of date, and our analysis is a guide, not a guarantee. Always confirm important details with the official source before you rely on them, for example TfL for ULEZ and DVLA for tax.
Information, not advice
Our checks and guides are general information. They aren't legal, financial or mechanical advice, and they don't replace an inspection by a qualified mechanic or a full vehicle history check.
Acceptable use
- Use the site for personal, lawful purposes.
- Don't scrape, copy or resell vehicle data, or run automated lookups.
- Don't try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
We may limit or block access to protect the service.
Partner websites
We link to partners such as webuyanycar, BookMyGarage and Tyres.net. Their services are provided by them under their own terms; any contract is between you and the partner. See our affiliate disclosure.
Liability
We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text and graphics belong to Car Check UK or its licensors. Vehicle data belongs to its official sources. Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions? Email net29apps@gmail.com.
